Abstract
With a view to study entitled “Varietal response of soybean (Glycine max L.
Merrill) to various intra row spacing under ridge and furrow system” a field
experiment was conducted during 2019 at Tribal Research cum Training Centre,
Anand Agricultural University, Devgadh Baria, Dist. Dahod, Gujarat. The experiment
consisted of twelve treatment combinations with different varieties V1 (NRC 37), V2
(JS 20-34) and V3 (JS 335) and various intra row spacing S1 (45 x 5 cm), S2 (45 x 10
cm), S3 (45 x 15 cm) and S4 (45 x 20 cm) under ridge and furrow system. The
experiment was laid out in randomized block design with factorial concept. The
soybean was used in the experiment as a test crop. The soil of the experimental site
was sandy loam in texture, free from any kind of salinity or sodicity hazards, having
low in organic carbon and nitrogen, medium in available phosphorus and high
potassium.
