The soil of experimental plot was loamy sand in texture. It was low in organic carbon (0.22 %), while medium in available phosphorous (30.80 kg ha-1) and high in available potash (272.93 kg ha-1) with pH 7.98. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with 27 treatment combinations and three replications.
