Abstract
The present experiment on "Study of polymorphism of fecundity genes (BMP
15, BMPR IB and GDF 9) in Surti goats (Capra hircus) along with ultrasonography,
blood biochemical and hormonal profile” was carried out with the objectives to detect
early pregnancy in goats using ultrasonography, to study the level of blood hormonal
profile viz. insulin, estrogen and progesterone, to study the level of blood biochemical
profile viz. blood glucose, total protein, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and
triglycerides and to study the polymorphism of fecundity genes viz. BMP 15, BMPR
IB and GDF 9 by PCR – RFLP method.
The experiment was carried out on Reproductive Biology Research Unit Farm
