dc.description.abstractThe experimental material comprised of seven varieties (Long-12, G.B-6, Morvi-4.2, P.P. Cluster, R.34, Doli-5 and PH.4) of brinjal and their 21 F1 hybrids. The experiment was conducted at plant Breeding Research Section, Gujarat Agricultural University, Anand Campus, Anand during summer seasons of 1982 and 1983. Nine characters, namely days to flower, plant height, number of primary branches per plant, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight, fruit length, fruit girth, fruit yield per plant and fruit yield per plot were studied.en_US
