Abstract
The present investigation on okra entitled “Diallel Analysis for Fruit Yield and
its Component Traits in Okra [Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench]” comprising of
10 parents, their 45 F1s (diallel crosses excluding reciprocals) and one standard check
GJOH 4 was carried out at Main Vegetable Research Station, Anand Agricultural
University, Anand during the Kharif-2018. The experimental material was evaluated
in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The objectives of the
investigation were to study per se performance, magnitude of heterosis, combining
ability effects and gene action for fruit yield, its component traits and quality
parameters.
