Abstract
India is a large country with more than 70 percent of the population depending on
agriculture for their livelihood. Indian population is increasing and the per-capita size
of land decreasing. Thus, food grain demand is also increasing day by day and
proportionally yield is decreasing day by day due to infestation of insect and pest.
Pesticides are substances or a mixture of substances intended for preventing,
destroying, and repelling any insect and pest. Pesticides represent the last input in an
agricultural operation and are applied for preventing the spoilage of crops from pests
such as insects, fungi, weeds, etc.
