Abstract
Seedlings of two tobacco types, DR-1 and GT-4 were grown at the field of Bidi Tobacco Research Station, Anand Campus, Anand. Samples were drawn at two growth stages for analysis. At the first growth stage (30 days after sowing) insect attack was negligible whereas at second stage (60 days after sowing) insect attack was considerable. DR-1 was highly susceptible to the leaf eating caterpillar Spodoptera litura (F.).
