Abstract
The present investigation entitled “Genetic Variability, Stability and
Association Mapping in Maize (Zea mays L.)” was carried out at three different
locations of Gujarat, under the jurisdiction of Anand Agricultural University (AAU)
during rabi 2020-21. Three different environments were made available by choosing
three different locations of Gujarat i.e., Experimental Farm, Department of Genetics
& Plant Breeding, B. A. College of Agriculture, AAU, Anand; Main Maize Research
Station, Anand Agricultural University, Godhra and Agricultural Research Station,
Anand Agricultural University, Sansoli. The objective of research was to extract
information regarding genotypic and phenotypic variability, heritability, genetic
advance, correlation, stability analysis over different locations as well as SSR marker based diversity analysis and genome wide association study for various quantitative
and qualitative characters in maize and sweet corn.
