Abstract
Jivanti (Leptadenia reticulata (Retz.) Wight & Arn.) is an important medicinal
plant as it provides various nutrients and having different active compounds, which cure
different human illness. Jivanti is a crop in which entire plant is considered to be
economically valuable parts of plant. Moreover, it is evident that phytoactive
compounds present in the plant, are accumulated at different parts of the plant and their
concentrations varies with plant growth and developmental stages. As a result, in order
to get the maximum benefit, it is necessary to determine best harvest time and plant
part.
