dc.description.abstractThe present investigation was carried out in two hundred and fifty camel in and around Bikaner. On the basis of clinical manifestations and faecal examination an overall prevalence of gastrointestinal helminths was 97 (38.8%), of them 84 (86.60%) showed single and 13 (13.40%) showed mixed infection. Out of 97 camels, prevalence of Strongyle spp. was highest 84 (86.60%) followed by 8 (8.25%) Strongyloides spp. and 5 (5.15%) Trichuris spp. The clinical signs in gastrointestinal helminths infested camel included inappetence, dullness, anorexia, rough hair coat, and general weakness, loss of body weight, eating of inanimate objects and pale conjunctival mucous membrane. The faeces consistency varied from soft semi solid to pellet form.en_US
