Abstract
The present investigation comprised of 28 F1s developed from eight
parents through diallel mating design excluding reciprocals in cucumber
(Cucumis sativus L.) was carried out at Main Vegetable Research Station, Anand
Agricultural University, Anand during late kharif crop season of the year
2004-05. The experimental material (28 F1s and 8 parents) was evaluated in a
randomized complete block design with three replications. The objectives of the
investigation were to study heterosis, gene effects and combining ability effects
for fruit yield and its component characters, growth attributes and quality
parameters.
