Abstract
The present investigation was carried out to estimate genetic variability, character association, path coefficient and genetic divergence among 36 genotypes of isabgol for thirteen morphological characters. Analysis of variance indicated presence of considerable variability for all the 13 characters. High genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variance were recorded for seed yield per plant, biological yield per plant and number of effective tillers per plant. High estimates of heritability along with high genetic advance as percent of mean were observed for 1000-seed weight, seed yield per plant and spike length. Therefore, these characters can aid in selection programme.
