Abstract
India is the seventh-largest country by geographical area and the second-largest
county by population in the world. India is an agrarian country in nature, with around
60 percent of the population in agriculture and allied sectors. The fungicide market is
estimated to account for the value of 18.7 billion USD and grow at a CAGR of 4.6
present. Fungicide market share in crop protection increased from 16 percent in 2014
to 20 percent in 2020. The growing horticulture market in India boosts the growth of
the fungicide market. Mango is the most important fruit in India and mango is the king
of fruits. The global crop protection market (pesticide, insecticide and insect resistance
seeds) is estimated to have decease marginally by 0.8 % in 2019 to 60 billion USD. In
2019 weather plays the most important role in the crop protection market. According
to the third advance, production estimation of the major crop for FY2020 food grain
production increase by 3.7 % due to cumulative rainfall this year is higher than
estimation and long-period average.
