dc.description.abstract | Eighteen crossbred (Holstein Friesian X Kankrej, Jersey X Kankrej and Holstein Friesian X Jersey X Kankrej) growing calves were fed a total mixed ration for 60 days as preliminary feeding period to meet their nutrient needs as per NRC (1989) standard. They were fed the same TMR 25% below requirement for 90 days (Under feeding period). Thereafter, they were grouped into 2 groups of nine each based on age and body weight, and were fed TMR either at the rate of 100% (T-100) and 125% (T- 125) of requirement for 90 days (Re-alimentation period). During under feeding period, the BWG and ADG were found | en_US |
