Abstract
Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) an important pulse crop extensively grown in Bhal track area of Anand and Ahamadabad districts. Since 2005, chickpea root rot caused by M. phaseolina is quite wide spread in the area leading to extensive yield losses. Considering the seriousness of the soil borne pathogen, the present investigations on various aspects carried out first time in middle Gujarat at Department of Plant Pathology, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand-388 110 during 2007-09 to explore the possibilities of bio-agents, oil cakes and chemicals for the management of this disease
