Abstract
Sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] having ability to grow in poor soil, faster growth habit, high yielding, palatable, nutritious quality and uniform green fodder yield throughout the year. The experimental material comprised of three male sterile lines used as female parents, fifteen genotypes used as male parents, 45 F1s were developed in a Line x tester fashion and one standard check hybrid (MFSH 4). Fourteen characters in these sixty four entries were studied in a randomize block design with three replications at Main Forage Research Station, A.A.U., Anand during summer season of the year 2010, with the objectives to obtain information on heterosis and combining ability study in forage sorghum. The analysis of variance
