An experiment entitled ‘studies on influence of jeevamrutha and biofertilizers on growth, yield and quality of mango (Mangifera indica L.) var. Alphonso’ was conducted at Regional Horticulture Research and Extension Centre, Dharwad in Karnataka (University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot) during 2019-20 and 2020- 21. The two separate experiments viz. a) Effect of dosage and frequency of liquid Jeevamrutha on growth, yield and quality of mango (Mangifera indica L.) var. Alphonso, b) Effect of jeevamrutha and biofertilizers on growth, yield and quality of mango (Mangifera indica L.) var. Alphonso were laid out in a factorial randomized block design and observations on growth, biochemical parameters in leaf, yield, quality, soil physico-chemical and biological properties, leaf nutrient status, incidence of pest and diseases and economics were recorded. The results on pooled data revealed that among the interaction treatments of dosage and frequency of liquid jeevamrutha and their comparison with recommended package of practice (RPP), the application of jeevamrutha @ 1000 litre/ha at an interval of 15 days (D3F1) recorded the maximum total chlorophyll (4.12 mg/g), soil moisture (13.19 %), organic carbon (1.09 % and 1.04 %), nitrogen (339.22 kg/ha and 304.85 kg/ha), phosphorous (26.92 kg/ha and 15.93 kg/ha) and potassium (228.42 kg/ha and 204.30 kg/ha) during flowering and after harvest respectively in 0-30 cm depth of the soil and the maximum fungal (2.73 x 103 cfu/g and 3.67 x 103 cfu/g) and bacterial (11.97 x 106 cfu/g and 17.13 x 106 cfu/g) colonies were recorded at initial and flowering stage respectively. RPP registered the maximum fruit yield (9.71 t/ha) and B:C ratio (3.79:1) which was followed by D3F1, which was recorded 7.04 t/ha of fruit yield and B:C ratio of 2.87:1. The studies on interaction treatments of jeevamrutha and biofertilizers and their comparison with RPP revealed that the application of liquid jeevamrutha @ 1000 litre/ha in combination with ghana jeevamrutha 1500 kg/ha (L3B5) recorded the maximum soil moisture (14.68 %), organic carbon (1.04 % and 0.96 %), nitrogen (336.69 kg/ha and 290.42 kg/ha) and potassium (220.60 kg/ha and 169.00 kg/ha) during flowering and after harvest respectively in 0 to 30 cm depth of the soil and the maximum bacterial (17.28 x 106 cfu/g) colonies were recorded at flowering stage. RPP registered the maximum fruit yield (72.89 kg/tree and 9.00 t/ha) and the highest B: C ratio (3.57:1) which was followed by L3B2 (Application of jeevamrutha at 1000 litre/ha + Azatobacter + PSB) and L3B5.
