Abstract
The brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) is an important vegetable crop
of India and grown extensively in Middle Gujarat area. The leaf spot caused by
Alternaria solani (Ellis and Mart.), adversely inflictis considerable losses in the
yield and quality of brinjal in Middle Gujarat area. Considering the seriousness of
the problem the present investigations on various aspects were carried out in
Department of Plant Pathology, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural
University, Anand to explore the possibilities of chemical control for this disease
