The antioxidant properties such as total phenol, bound phenol, free phenol, and DPPH scavenging activity of thirty foxtail millet genotypes were evaluated. The genotype KIFXG-22-13 was recorded having significantly higher total phenol (3.56 mg/g), bound phenol (2.22 mg/g), free phenol (1.34 mg/g) and DPPH scavenging activity (47.51 %). The mineral composition of thirty foxtail millet genotypes evaluated for iron, zinc, calcium, sodium and potassium. Among all the foxtail millet genotypes KIFXG-22-13 was found to be significantly superior in iron content (4.19 mg/100g), zinc content (4.10 mg/100g), calcium content (31.03 mg/100g), sodium content (5.80 mg/100g) and potassium content (270.50 mg/100g).
