Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at the College Agronomy Farm, B. A.
College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat to evaluate
the effect of “Integrated nutrient management in summer green gram (Vigna
radiata L. Wilczek) under middle Gujarat condition” during summer season of the
year 2018-19. The soil of experimental plot was loamy sand, slightly alkaline in
nature (pH 8.21) with good drainage and fair moisture retention capacity. The
experimental soil was low in organic carbon (0.34%), low in available nitrogen (240.4
kg/ha), medium in available phosphorous (46.37 kg/ha) and fairly high in potash
(303.4 kg/ha). The field experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with
factorial concept and replicated four times. The experiment consists of fifteen
treatment combinations, comprised of five levels of nitrogen sources (N1: only
inoculation with rhizobium, N2: 20 kg N/ha through vermicompost, N3: 10 kg N/ha
through vermicompost + inoculation with rhizobium, N4: 20 kg N/ha through neem
cake and N5: 10 kg N/ha through neem cake + inoculation with rhizobium) and three
levels of phosphorus sources (P1: 20 kg P2O5/ha + inoculation with PSB, P2: 40 kg
P2O5/ha and P3: 40 kg P2O5/ha + inoculation with PSB).
