The present study was conducted on three hundred day- old strait run broiler chicks to evaluate the performance of broilers maintained on different litter materials viz. chaffed paddy straw, bagassae, sand, saw dust and rice husk. These chicks were divided into five different treatment groups containing 60 chicks with 20 chicks in each replicates. The present investigations have been planed with following objectives: - To find out the growth performance of broiler on different litters. To find out the moisture content of different litter materials. To find out the manural value (NPK and organic carbon) of litter materials. To find out parasitic load of broilers. To find out the carcass yield of broilers maintained on different litters. To find out the economics of broiler production.en_US
