Abstract
The adoption of new practices and thereby attainment of
targeted production can be possible if the farmers have more
favorable/positive attitude towards modern agriculture. The attitude
of the farmers towards capsicum cultivation may differ from individual
to individual because of their differences in age, education, size of
land holding, social participation and socio-economic stutus.
Therefore, a study on "Development of Scale to Measure
Attitude of the Farmers towards Capsicum Cultivation" thought
essential to be undertaken with the following specific objectives:
1. To study the profile of the farmers adopting capsicum
cultivation.
2. To develop and standardize the scale to measure
attitude of the farmers toward capsicum cultivation.
3. To measure attitude of the farmers towards capsicum
cultivation.
4. To find out the relationship between profile of the farmers and
their attitude towards capsicum cultivation.
5. To analyze constraints faced by the farmers in adoption of
recommended technology of capsicum cultivation.
6. To seek suggestions from the farmers to overcome the
constraints.
