Abstract
Urolithiasis or kidney stone is formation of urinary calculi at any levels of urinary
tract. Stone formation is also documented in the early Sanskrit documents during 3000
and 2000 B.C. The problem of stone formation is considered as a medical challenge due
to its multifactorial etiology and high rate of reoccurrence.
