Abstract
A field experiment was carried out on loamy sand soil at Bidi
Tobacco Research Station Farm, Anand Agricultural University, Anand to
study the “Effect of spacing and seed rate on green pod yield of summer
cowpea (Vigna unguiculata L. Walp) under middle Gujarat conditions”
during summer season of 2013-14. Twelve treatment combinations
comprising of three levels of spacing (S1: 30 cm, S2: 45 cm and S3: 60 cm) and
four levels of seed rate (R1: 15 kg ha-1, R2: 20 kg ha-1, R3: 25 kg ha-1 and R4: 30
kg ha-1) were tried out in a Split plot design (SPD) with four replications.
