Abstract
In an attempt to assess the possibilities of utilization of crop residue viz. mustard (Brassica campestris) and sorghum (Sorghum vulgare) straw in combination with suitable feed technology i.e. complete feed system alone or in combination with live yeast culture (S. cerevisiae) supplementation to achieve maximum efficiency of feed utilization for sustainable animal production, an experiment was conducted in two phases. In first phase, chemical composition was determined for each roughage source under study and six combinations of complete feed formulated using each roughage source at 40, 50 and 60% level of incorporation in complete feed.
