A total of five accessions with thick, wide, spotted, zig-zag and red without spot (RWS) leaves of Aloe vera were screened for pigment composition and RAPD analysis. The chlorophyll A and Chlorophyll B content was the highest in zig-zag leaf accession (0.367 mg/g and 0.215 mg/g, respectively) and minimum in thick leaf accession (0.053 mg/g and 0.041 mg/g, respectively), where as the highest carotenoid content was observed in RWS leaf accession (0.819 mg/g) and lowest carotenoid content in zig-zag leaf accession (0.234 mg/g).en_US
