Human being a social animal, live together to meet their basic biological, social and economic needs through groups. Most of the world’s activity actually takes place in groups. It is therefore essential to learn the nature and formation of groups, what conditions facilitate their growth, what factors lead them to action, how group affects their behaviour, their member’s thinking motivation and many things can be called “group behavior”. As a group matures, a number of forces operate within it - physical, moral, social and economic - and affect the behavior of its members, ultimately affecting group productivity. The sum of all these forces contributing to a group's performance was called “group dynamics” by behaviorists. Before any intervention, the concept of self-help group exists. Common bonds such as caste, community, place of origin or activity connect the members of self-help groups. Self-help group dynamics is the interplay of forces that affect group performance between group members in social situations.en_US
