Abstract
Potato (Solanum tuberosum, L.), (Family-solanaceae), popularly known as
'king of vegetables', and is the sixth alimentary product in the world. India is the
second largest producer of potato in the world after China. Potato alone contributes
almost 1/4th of the total vegetable production in India. Gujarat is the fifth largest
producer of potato in India with the yield of 30.18 MT/ha, which is highest among
