dc.description.abstract“India accounts for only about 2.4% of the world’s geographical area and 4% of its water resources, but has to support about 17% of the world’s human population and 15% of the livestock”(Anonymous, 2019-2020). Being the largest component of India's economy, agriculture is of utmost importance for the vast number of people. Agriculture sector employees 50% of workforce and share of agriculture and allied sectors the total (Including agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishery sub sectors) in terms of percentage of Gross Domestic Product was 20.2% during 2020-21 at current prices. (MoA&FW, 2020-21).
