dc.description.abstractAgriculture in India has a long history dating back to thousands of years. India is the second largest producer of vegetables in World after China, with total estimated production of 129 Million Tons from 7.9 Million Ha; this leap can be best achieved through proper use of improved varieties and advanced technologies in combination with superior management skills. As the major component of agricultural cost, seed is considered to be upstream product. Indian seed market size with the enormous potential has drawn the attention of capital industry. However, the competition of vegetable seed market in India is more spread out. Huge market potential, big profit margin, technology and policy barrier have made seed industry a star in the agricultural industry. Theen_US
