Abstract
Alpha – hexyl cinnamic aldehyde (HCA) is a most important synthetic fragrance
and flavoring agent used in human consumer and cosmetic products like soap, perfumes
and topically applied medicines. Cinnamaldehyde derivatives are one of the ingradients
of topically applied anti fungal sprays. Many people are highly allergic to alpha – hexyl
cinnamic aldehyde (HCA) when applied topically.
