dc.description.abstract | Forage Bajra is one of the important forage crops having higher green forage production, dry matter and crude protein content. It is also a quick growing fodder crop performing well under drought and heat stresses. The present investigation consisted of 18 parents (3 lines + 15 testers) and 45 hybrids developed through line x tester mating design. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design at Main Forage Research Station, Anand Agricultural University, Anand during summer season of 2010. The objectives of this study were to investigate the per se performance, magnitude of heterosis, combining ability and type of gene action for 12 different traits. Significant difference among parents and hybrids were observed for various traits | en_US |
