Investigations were carried out to manage major sucking pests through biorationals on okra, brinjal, pomegranate and guava and safety to natural enemies during 2015-16 at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru. The major sucking insects covered under experimentation included Amrasca biguttula biguttula Ishida, Bemisia tabaci Gennadius, Aphis gossypii Glover, A. punicae Passerini, Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Biosduval), T. urticae Koch, Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood, Aleurodicus dispersus Russel and Maconellicoccus hirsutus Green. All the tested biorationals reduced the sucking pests population significantly over control. Two sprays of spinosad 45 SC @ 0.2 ml/l, dimethoate 30 EC @ 1.6 ml/l and azadirachtin 10,000 ppm @ 1.0 ml/l were effective. Against mites organic salt 30 WS @ 5 ml/l was found highly effective and was on par with spinosad 45 SC @ 0.2 ml/l. On the basis of number of coccinellids, spiders and green lace wing recorded in different treatments, organic salt 30 WS @ 4 ml/l, spinosad @ 0.2 ml/l and Lecanicillium lecanii @ 2.0 g/l were found safer. Fruit yield of okra ranged from 13.10 t/ha (organic salt 30 WS @ 4 ml/l) to 16.20 t/ha (spinosad 45 SC @ 0.2 ml/l) as against 9.62 t/ha in untreated control and in brinjal it varied from 19.47 t/ha in (organic salt 30 WS @ 4 ml/l) to 25.95 t/ha (spinosad 45 SC @ 0.2 ml/l) as against 16.05 t/ha in control. Highest B:C ratio was obtained from dimethoate treated plot followed by spinosad.en_US
