Abstract
The present investigation on “Genetic Analysis of Seed Yield and its Contributing Characters in Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)”, which comprised of 28 hybrids developed by half-diallel mating design involving 8 parents, was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications at Agronomy farm, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand during kharif 2017. Heterosis, combining ability and components of genetic variance were studied for 12 characters viz; days to 50 per cent flowering, days to maturity, plant height (cm), number of primary branches per plant, number of capsules per plant, number of seeds per capsule, capsule length (cm), test weight (g), seed yield per plant (g), harvest index (%), oil content (%) and protein content (%).
