Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa has emerged as an important opportunistic pathogen during the part two decades. The incidence of P. aeruginosa infection in human and animals including avian together with development of multi drug resistance in the pathogen as well as change in morphological characteristics appears to be increasing. The present work was carried out with the aim to study the prevalence of P. aeruginosa in human and animals by cultural isolation, identification and characterization, to establish the etiological significance of the pathogen in various clinical disorders of human, animals and birds and also to elucidate the ecological role of the organism in apparently healthy animals and poultry and their environment.
