Effect of growth regulator and planting methods on rooting and growth performance of Tecomella undululta (Sm.) Seem in nursery

Abstract
Tecomella undulata is locally called “Rohida” is a threatened species. The present study was carried out to propagate it vegetatively in Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Present investigation was conducted in three different seasons i.e. (Rainy, Autumn, Winter) with three concentration levels of IBA (0, 500,1000 ppm) and two growing environment (Open conditions, Mist chamber). Growing environment and season has significant effect on sprouting parameters of cuttings. Autumn season showed maximum sprouting percentage (47.69) as compared to rainy (26.16) and winter (26.16) and in case of mist chamber it was (37.37) and in open (29.32) respectively. For all other parameters winter season is superior. Whereas growth regulator doesn’t shows any significant effect on sprouting.
