dc.description.abstract | A study was undertaken to examine the possible associations of serum phosphatase (AKP) isozymes with certain economic traits in White Leghorn strain crosses. Two hundred and thirty one laying hens of approximately 11 months of age from five strain crosses were included. Fresh serum samples were subjected to horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. Each serum sample examined, contained either a fast or slow band. Gene frequencies for the fast and slow AKP isozymes were 0.184 and 0.186 respectively. | en_US |
