Abstract
Isolation and identification of promising native Thiobacillus spp. and their pot house testing to evaluate the effect of sulphur oxidizing bacteria in presence/absence of elemental sulphur conducted during the year 2004 on groundnut in sulphur deficient loamy-sandy soil. Isolation of bacterium was carried out from two different soil samples and also from biogas slurry, which were compared with standard strains T. thioxidans, and T. ferrooxidans of MTCC, Chandigath, India.
