Abstract
The objectives of present study were to study the performance of strawberry cultivar Ofra under different protected structures like Greenhouse, Naturally Ventilated Polyhouse, Shadenet house and under Greenhouse on different growing media including Sand, Normal soil (Sandy loam) and artificial media in different proportions (by volume) were used for propagation strawberry mother plant. Vegetative growth of strawberry is recorded and the number of runners per plant was found maximum (10.19) under Shadenet house. Number of runners under growing media was better under Sand (12.92). Spread of strawberry plant was statistically same under all the structures and better under growing media sand. Other growth parameters like height of plant, height of crown, spread of runner plant were better under Naturally Ventilated Polyhouse and on growing media Cocopeat alone and in combination with Vermiculite.
