Abstract
An experimental material comprised of five females
(pistillate lines), eight males (testers) and their 40 hybrids
developed through line x tester mating design were grown in a
randomized complete block design with three replications at
Regional Research Station, Anand Agricultural University,
Anand during kharif 2007-08. The objectives of this
investigation were to study the performance of parents and
hybrids, magnitude of heterosis and their combining ability.
