Abstract
The population build up of Callosobruchus maculatus Fabricius was found faster after 60 days of the storage period on stored pea. The population of pulse beetle increased up to 361 folds in pea grains as compared to initial number released. Due to the infestation of pulse beetle in pea, 87.23 per cent seed damage and 37.15 per cent weight loss was observed within 120 days of the storage after initial infestation
