dc.description.abstract | It was indicative from the studies that aphid, Lipaphis erysimi Kalt. was commenced from second week of January and persisted till first week of March and attained its peak (79.08 aphids/3 leaves) during 3rd week of February (7th SMW). The population of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella L. was initiated from third week of January and persisted till first week of March and attained its peak (8.34 larvae/3 leaves) during 3rd week of February (7th SMW). Head borer, Helicoverpa armigera Hub. was noticed from first week of January and persisted till fourth week of February. It reached its peak (2.23 larvae/3 leaves) during 1st week of February (5th SMW). The population of leaf eating caterpillar, Spodoptera litura Fab. was noticed from first week of January and persisted till fifth week of February and its peak (2.09 larvae/3 leaves) was observed during 1st week of February (5th SMW). The occurrence of coccinellid beetle was started from third week of January to first week of March reached its peak (0.87 beetle/3 leaves) during 3rd week of February (7th SMW). The syrphid fly population was noticed from fourth week of January to first week of March and present throughout the season. It was at its peak (0.73 maggot/3 leaves) during 4th week of February (8th SMW). | en_US |
