The laboratory experiment was carried out in the Department of Seed Science and Technology, UAS, Raichur, to know the effect of seed polymer coating in groundnut. The experiment consists of 6 treatments, among the treatments Polymer @ 4 ml per kg of seed recorded significantly higher germination (77.00 %), speed of germination (22.13), shoot length (15.99 cm), root length (6.14 cm), seedling dry weight (1.25 g) and seedling vigour index (1725) compared control (74.00 %, 17.57, 13.54 cm, 4.02 cm, 0.89 g mg and 1326, respectively). The field experiment was conducted at MARS, College of Agriculture, UAS, Raichur, to know the influence of seed polymerization with micronutrients and foliar spray on growth, seed yield and quality of groundnut. The experiment consists of 23 treatments with various micronutrients either alone or in combination. Among the treatments, seed polymerization (6 ml/kg) with the combination of micronutrients (ZnSO4 + FeSO4 + Boron + Ammonium molybdate + CaSO4 each at 2 g per kg of seed) and foliar sprays (except ZnSO4 and FeSO4 in EDTA form) at an interval of 10 days during flowering stage (50 and 60 DAS) recorded significantly higher leaf area index (1.88, 4.02 and 1.50), chlorophyll content (43.16, 47.26 and 38.28 SPAD values), plant height (12.33, 26.67 and 34.00 cm) at vegetative, flowering and pod formation stage, effective root nodules (25/plant), pods (34.50/plant), seed yield per plant (20.80 g), seed yield per hectare (8.89 q/ha) compared to control (1.34, 2.77 and 1.00, 36.36, 38.00 and 30.65 SPAD values, 8.67, 18.73 and 23.33 cm, 25, 2, 18.30 g/plant and 7.76 q/ha, respectively). The resultant seeds of the same treatment also recorded significantly higher germination (81.40 %) and seedling vigour index (1676) compared to control (74.00 % and 1258, respectively).en_US
