    Knowledge and Adoption of Improved Sugarcane Production Technology by the Farmers in Lakhimpur (Kheri) District of (U.P.) India

    The study was conducted in Lakhimpur and Pasgawn Block of district Lakhimpur (Kheri) selected purposively. A total number of 120 sugarcane growers were selected through proportionate random sampling from Twelve villages on the basis of land holding size. The structured schedule was developed maintenance in view the objectives and variable to be deliberate. The traits be contacted personally for data collected work. The analysis of data was done with the use of correlation coefficient to collection. The percentage, mean and standard deviation was also used for drawing the inference. The results of the study depicted that the majority the respondents were found in various socio-economic profile characters like, age, category of 33-64 years (66.66%), Illiterate (29.16%), Other backward caste (67.53%), Joint families (60.0%), married (79.16%) family size of 10 above members (68.0%), the small farmers with a land holding below 1 hectare (48.33%) respectively.     Study on adoption of bt. Cotton in warangal block of warangal District (Telangana State)

    The study was conducted in Warangal block of Warangal district (Telangana) selected purposively. A total number of 100 respondents were selected through random sampling from 5 sample villages on the basis of majority of Bt. Cotton growers. The structured schedule was developed keeping in view the objectives & variables under study.The respondents were contacted personally for data collection. The percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation were used for calculation and drawing the inferences. The majority of the respondents 63% were found in middle (37-47) age group, like this 80 % literate, 65% other backward caste, 100% hindu religion, 73% nuclear family, 50% medium family size (5-7 members), 45% small farmers (1 -2 ha), 91% agriculture main occupation, 67% annual income (135000-300000), 70% respondents Participation in one organization, 62% medium overall material possession (31-48 equipment), village development officer I ranked in formal sources, Friends I ranked in informal sources, T. V I ranked in mass media, 57% medium (20-23) economic motivation, 50% medium (22-23) scientific orientation, 68% medium (17-28) risk orientation, 76% medium knowledge and 15% low knowledge and 9% high knowledge on Bt. Cotton cultivation practices, 70% medium, 18% low and 12% high adoption of Bt. Cotton cultivation practices by the respondents. The independent Variables like education, caste, size of land holding, annual income, material possession, economic motivation and extension contact had highly significant and positively correlated with knowledge extent. The independent variables like age, education, caste, size of land holding, annual income, material possession, economic motivation, extension contact had highly significant and positive correlation with adoption of Bt. cotton. The major problems elicited by the respondents were High cost and non- availability of required hybrid seeds at right time, High cost and non - availability of chemical fertilizer in time and more sucking pest attack in Bt. Cotton. The major suggestions offered by the respondents were Provision of improved seed in time with minimum cost, Efforts should be made for providing fertilizers on appropriate rate, Develop sucking pest resistant varieties in Bt. Cotton.

    Study on Knowledge and adopttion of farmers about hybrid rice production technology in sultanpur district of uttar pradesh

    Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important cereal food grain crop of the world with an excellent source of calories, in the form of starch, and has added benefits of providing protein with higher nutritional quality than other cereals grains. The study was conducted in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Sultanpur district has fourteen blocks, out of these 2 blocks were purposively selected namely Motigarpur and Jaisinghpur because these two blocks are having low and high sizable area respectively under Hybrid rice production. The study was conducted in randomly selected ten villages of Motigarpur and jaisinghpur block of Sultanpur district on 150 hybrid rice growers selected through proportionate random sampling technique. The majority of respondents were Above 53 year’s aged and literate including formal and informal education. Backward caste farmers were dominantly engaged in hybrid rice production belonging to nuclear family system in existence having 5 to 8 members in their families. Maximum hybrid rice growers were marginal farmers and reported agriculture as their main occupation. Almost all hybrid rice growers were above the poverty line. Diesel engine and Electric motor were dominant farm power along with farm implements. The cycle was main conveyance with all hybrid rice growers. The mobile phone followed by internet possessed by majority. Excellent extension contact was observed. The majority of respondents 45 percent were participate in two organizations. The majority of respondent’s main formal source of information fertilizers/seed stores, informal source of information family members and television in mass media was main source of information. The economic motivation, scientific orientation and risk-orientations were observed of medium levels.

    Effect of agricultural based sugarcane industry on knowledge and adoption extent of farmers in district Sitapur (U.P.)

    The study was conducted in Maholi block of Sitapur district (U.P.) selected purposively. A total number of 100 respondents were selected through random sampling from 10 sample villages on the basis of majority of sugarcane grower. The structured schedule was developed keeping in view the objectives & variables under study. The respondents were contacted personally for data collection. The percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation were used for calculation and drawing the inferences. The majority of the respondents 70% were found in medium categories (40-62) of age group, like this 80 % literate, 99% married, 58% other backward cast, 96% Hindu religion, 64% nuclear family, 65% medium family size (5-9 members), 42% small land holding size ( 1-2 ha.), 87% pucca houses, 87% agriculture main & 31% subsidiary occupation, 45% annual income (120001-180000), 98% sugarcane society participate, 62% overall material possession (37-67 equipment), gram pradhan I ranked formal sources, family member I ranked informal sources, mobiles I ranked mass media, 65% medium (23-25) economic motivation, 66% medium (21-23) risk orientation, 100% knowledge of field preparation & I ranked, 92% rationing in adoption of respondents & I ranked, 82% scientific knowledge about given by sugar industry for motivation sugarcane cultivation & I ranked, respectively majority of respondents.
