ThesisItem Open Access Knowledge and Adoption of Improved Sugarcane Production Technology by the Farmers in Lakhimpur (Kheri) District of (U.P.) India(ANDUAT,Kumarganj, Ayodhya, 2021-08-03) Kumar, Vimlesh; Meena, Dr.N.R.The study was conducted in Lakhimpur and Pasgawn Block of district Lakhimpur (Kheri) selected purposively. A total number of 120 sugarcane growers were selected through proportionate random sampling from Twelve villages on the basis of land holding size. The structured schedule was developed maintenance in view the objectives and variable to be deliberate. The traits be contacted personally for data collected work. The analysis of data was done with the use of correlation coefficient to collection. The percentage, mean and standard deviation was also used for drawing the inference. The results of the study depicted that the majority the respondents were found in various socio-economic profile characters like, age, category of 33-64 years (66.66%), Illiterate (29.16%), Other backward caste (67.53%), Joint families (60.0%), married (79.16%) family size of 10 above members (68.0%), the small farmers with a land holding below 1 hectare (48.33%) respectively. Farming only(45.83%)ThesisItem Open Access Study on Knowledge and adopttion of farmers about hybrid rice production technology in sultanpur district of uttar pradesh(ANDUAT,Kumarganj,Ayodhya, 2021-08-03) Yadav, Subedar; Doharey, R.K.Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important cereal food grain crop of the world with an excellent source of calories, in the form of starch, and has added benefits of providing protein with higher nutritional quality than other cereals grains. The study was conducted in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Sultanpur district has fourteen blocks, out of these 2 blocks were purposively selected namely Motigarpur and Jaisinghpur because these two blocks are having low and high sizable area respectively under Hybrid rice production. The study was conducted in randomly selected ten villages of Motigarpur and jaisinghpur block of Sultanpur district on 150 hybrid rice growers selected through proportionate random sampling technique. The majority of respondents were Above 53 year’s aged and literate including formal and informal education. Backward caste farmers were dominantly engaged in hybrid rice production belonging to nuclear family system in existence having 5 to 8 members in their families. Maximum hybrid rice growers were marginal farmers and reported agriculture as their main occupation. Almost all hybrid rice growers were above the poverty line. Diesel engine and Electric motor were dominant farm power along with farm implements. The cycle was main conveyance with all hybrid rice growers. The mobile phone followed by internet possessed by majority. Excellent extension contact was observed. The majority of respondents 45 percent were participate in two organizations. The majority of respondent’s main formal source of information fertilizers/seed stores, informal source of information family members and television in mass media was main source of information.
