“EFFECT OF CHEMICAL DESUCKERING ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY IN BIDI TOBACOO (Nicotiana tabacum L.) VARIETIES
(Anand Agricultural University, Anand, 2013) Anil Kumar Gupta; Dr. J. C. Chavda
The present investigation on “Effect of chemical desuckering on growth, yield and quality in bidi tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) varieties” was carried out at Bidi Tobacco Research Station, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, during the year 2012-13. The field experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with four replications comprising nine treatment combinations of three varieties (GT 5, ABT 10 and GABT 11) and three suckericides treatments (hand desuckering, pendimethalin @ 0.45 % + 2 % urea and fatty alcohol @ 6 % + 2 % urea).

(Anand Agricultural University, Anand, 2013) NAGVE TULSHIRAM BALU; Dr. N. V. Upadhyay
An investigation was carried out on “Physiological and biochemical studies at different growth stages in safed musli (Chlorophytum borivilianum, Santapu and Fernandes)” at Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research Farm, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand (Gujarat) during kharif season of the year 2011-12. The experiment consisted of four treatments viz. harvesting 60 days after planting (T1), harvesting at 80 days after planting (T2), harvesting at 100 days after planting (T3) and harvesting at 120 days after planting (T4). The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with six replications. i
