GENETIC ANALYSIS OF SEED YIELD AND ITS COMPONENT CHARACTERS IN CASTOR (Ricinus communis L.)
(DEPARTMENT OF GENETICS AND PLANT BREEDING B. A. COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE ANAND AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY ANAND, 2016) Jayesh Patel; Dr. D. A. Patel
The present investigation was conducted to study the heterosis, combining ability and gene effects for seed yield and yield attributing characters following diallel analysis involving ten inbreds in castor. The experimental material comprising 10 parents, 45 crosses among them and standard check hybrid GCH-7 were grown in a randomized complete block design with three replications at Agronomy Farm, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand during rabi 2015-16. Observations were recorded on 13 different characters, comprising of seed yield, yield component characters, phenological traits and quality characters
