COMPONENT AND SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF THE GROWTH OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY IN GUJARAT STATE (1961-62 TO 1975-76)
    (AAU, Anand, 1980) BHATT, B. U.; SINGH, S. B.
The main object of the study was to examine the contribution of different components in the growth of agricultural productivity through component and spatial analysis in Gujarat State during 1961-62 to 1975-76. The contribution of different components viz., price structure, yield and crop pattern and their interactions in the growth of agricultural productivity was studied with the help of statistical model for middle period (1966-67 to 1970-71) and current period (1971-72 to 1975-76) over the base period (1961-62 to 1965-66). For spatial and temporal comparison of agricultural productivity, the yearwise composite index was worked out for each district, region and State as a whole, similarly the linear growth rate was worked out for the entire period of study. The data of area, yield and harvest price of important crops were collected for each district from the Directorate of Agriculture, Gujarat State, Ahmedabad.
