    Indian Agriculture is undergoing a technological transformation. The on going revolution is indicative of increasing capital investment in the farm business. The scope of improvement in farm business organization. is increasing fast with the adoption of new techniques of production. The core of this new technology implies the application of heavy doses of fertilizers. intensive irrigation. use of high yielding varieties. insecticides and pesticides and other modern farm inputs which essentially assume the development of an adequate infrastructure on the farm.

    Indian Agriculture is undergoing a technological transformation. The on going revolution is indicative of increasing capital investment in the farm business. The scope of improvements in farm Business organization is increasing fast with the adoption of new techniques of production. The core of this new technology implies the application of heavy doses of fertilizers, intensive irrigation, use of high yielding varieties insecticides and pesticides and other modern farm inputs which essentially assume the development of an adequate infrastructure on the farm. The development of infrastructure which is pivot of agricultural transformation requires massive capital investment in the initial stages to effect permanent and semi permanent improvement viz., installation of tube-wells and pumping sets, reclamation and development of lands, construction of farm Buildings and other structures and the purchase of livestock, machinery and equipment.
