    Processed Food Products in Mangaldoi town of Darrang district A case study on Repose Bakers’

    Food processing is the conversion of agricultural products into food or of one food type into another. Food processing encompasses a wide range of food processing technologies, from grinding grain to make raw flour to home cooking to complex industrial methods used to produce convenience foods. India is the world's second largest food producer, after China, and has the potential to be the largest. The domestic food market in India is predicted to expand by about 40% by 2015, reaching $258 billion and $344 billion by 2025. Bakery industry is one of the large growing food industries in the world. Food processing sector of Assam is in an infant stage and percentage of Agriculture based micro, small and medium enterprise is 20 per cent. Assam’s bakery industry incorporates local flavours and ingredients into their products. The present study of my research is on SRD Bakers, one of the leading industry in Assam among thirteen industries of SRD group, which involves in production of Bakery items and different value added products. The research was conducted in Repose bakery factory,spread across an area of 5 bigha 3 katha, situated in Chapai Chowk area of Mangaldoi town of Darrang District. The organisational structure of the Bakery was shown. B:C ratio of five financial years are calculated from 2018-19 to 2022-23. Also, a comparison is made with the COVID 19 yeras and noemal years to show how any emergency create an impact in any industry or company. Additionally there are two marketing channel in which percentage of flow of revenues in the five financial years are shown. Finally the various financial, production and marketing problems are pointed out along with various prospects are given to make the factory run efficiently and increases its revenues generated. E-tailing is one of the best way to generate revenue and also increase the market of the company.
